Clinical Outcome of Zinc, selenium and salidrosie for Malignant Lymphoma
The 5-year survival rate for malignant lymphoma, a cancer of the blood, has been increasing with the development of medical science, but it is relatively low for the elderly, about 30% for men and about 40% for women.
Clinical results of two cases treated with Zinc, selenium and salidrosie are shown.
【Case 1】
A 92-year-old woman develops malignant lymphoma while hospitalized for heart failure. Because of her advanced age and cardiac insufficiency, she is unable to use anti-cancer drugs.
After one month of treatment with Zinc, selenium and salidrosie, IL-2 receptor, a tumor marker for malignant lymphoma, improved to normal levels and has since stabilized near normal levels.
Her gastrostomy※ was removed, and she is now able to eat from his own mouth and walk without assistance.
She passed away at the age of 95 due to heart failure, but her malignant lymphoma did not recur.
※Gastrostomy: A system of nutritional intake through a tube directly into the stomach when nutrition cannot be supplied by mouth.
【Case 2】
51 year old female diagnosed with malignant lymphoma at examination in December 2021. She is started on anti-cancer drugs, Zinc, selenium and salidrosie starting in January 2022; chemotherapy is completed in June 2022.
As of January 2023, tumor markers for malignant lymphoma are maintained in the normal range. Mild taste disorder and stomatitis during chemotherapy have resolved after administration of Zinc, selenium and salidrosie.
Selenium is undergoing clinical studies in combination with anti-cancer drugs.
Zinc has also been studied in combination with anti-cancer agents and is expected to be effective.
Salidroside has been studied for its anti-cancer effect, and the results are expected.
Zinc, selenium, and salidroside are thought to inhibit cancer cell proliferation by scavenging active oxygen and activating immunity, in addition to inhibiting the metastatic mechanism when cancer metastasizes.
